| Programme Content CGI, title sequence and branding. "Coast", BBC2's highly acclaimed factual series, was broadcast in the summer of 2005. Thirteen programmes were screened, at a rate of two episodes per week. Jelly Television worked to tight deadlines, delivering 90 photo-real CGI shots, 200 animating maps and a 20 second title sequence. |

Our brief was to bring stories to life, providing visual impact to some of the more complex historical and geographical sequences. To achieve CGI photorealism, we used a combination of in-house time-lapse photography, high speed photography and model effects, 3D modelling and animation generated in Maya Unlimited, rendering in Mental Ray and digital compositing in Discreet Smoke.
We created Coast's cross-platform branding, which was applied to printed material, regional exhibitions, signage for coastal walks and the BBC Coast website. |
